Get Some Sleep!

Finally a truly helpful book for getting your infant to sleep through the night.

The No-Cry Sleep Solution gives you another option besides the harsh "letting them cry it out" method. Many parents have had great success using the methods described in the book. The book shows you how to work with the baby's biological sleep rhythms to help get your baby (and you) a good nights sleep.

There is no magic potion, and it will take some time, but this book just may be your answer to getting your baby to sleep through the night happily and peacefully.

The mother, Sherri Callister, 42, and her daughter, Chelsee Bushman, 22, had their babies 90 minutes apart at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. The mother and daughter were using the same nurses and were both in the same room at the hospital.

The daughter, Chelsee, thought it was strange enough to find out her mom was pregnant. Little did she know they would deliver on the same day. Sherri and Chelsee were both having pregnancy complications and had to deliver the babies by Caesarean section. Bushman was due on April 17th and Callister was due on March 30.

Chelsee Bushman went first, delivering a 3 lb daughter named Bentley May. Sherri Callister delivered her 5 lb 8 oz son, Dakota Dean, 90 minutes later. Callister had hoped to be more help to her daughter when she gave birth, but fate had a different plan.

Britney Spears Shows Us What Not To Do!

Britney Spears, who earlier this month made the mistake of driving with her infant son in her lap, is made an example of what you should never do by transportation Secretary Norman Mineta.

Mineta marked the beginning of Child Passenger safety Week by saying: "Recent photos of Britney Spears driving with her infant son on her lap are troubling. And while Ms. Spears has acknowledged her mistake, her actions still send the wrong message to millions of her fans."

Spears claimed last week that she was confronted by aggressive paparazzi and had to take drastic measures to get her baby and herself out of harms way. Britney later admitted, in an interview with Access Hollywood: "I made a mistake and so it is what it is, I guess."

Norman Mineta also made the comment that: "Each year, over 53,000 kids are needlessly injured in crashes. If all of these children had been riding in a booster seat, it's possible that thousands of them would have escaped their crashes virtually unharmed."

Charlie Sheen Designs Hip Kid's Clothes!?!

Charlie Sheen is set to launch a line of children's clothing.

I know it sounds too weird to be true, but Sheen and his business partner, Michael Berens, are creating a line of girls clothing called Sheen Kidz. The kid's clothing line will be carried at Kitson Kids, a super hip and trendy clothing boutique in Los Angeles. Supposedly, Charlie Sheen will have final say on the the designs and fabrics used in the collection. Sheen Kidz will be a girls only line with prices ranging from $20 to $80. Charlie was reportedly inspired to create the line by his two young daughters, Sam and Lola.

I can see Denise Richards doing something like this, but it is really hard for me to picture Charlie Sheen designing clothing for little girls. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Pregnant Gwen Stefani At The Grammys!

Gwen Stefani showed off her beautiful bump in a leopard print, one shouldered sexy maternity dress.

Steven Cojocaru was pleased with her choice. He told her: "Pregnancy is now really in! You look like a goddess!" Cojocaru also said of Stefani: I think she wanted to prove that she's the most glamorous pregnant woman on the planet. What she wore was extraordinary."

That was a really great stylish and sexy maternity dress. The green at the bottom of the maternity gown made it super hip and funky. We wouldn't expect anything less of the fashionable Gwen Stefani!

It's A Girl For Jon Stewart!

Jon Stewart, host of the Daily Show, and his wife, Tracey, have a new baby girl.

The Comedy Central web site states: "Mom, dad, baby and big brother are all doing great." The baby girl was born over the weekend in Manhattan and weighed in at 6lbs, 9oz.

This is the second child for Jon, 43, and Tracey, 38, who have a one and a half year old son named Nathan Thomas.

Stewart expressed his reservations about having a daughter to David Letterman last October. "I don't know that much about women. A boy child, I feel like I'll know how to deal with it if he has a problem. I'll just be able to say to him, 'Well, repress it,' and he will hopefully swallow that, as I have. And then you figure you have 30 years before it comes out over dinner where somebody spills the gravy and then you're like 'I hate you!' "A girl, she's going to want me to have tea with her and her panda. Like, what am I going to do with that?" said John Stewart. I'm sure he will figure it out.

Congratulations Jon and Tracey!

Home Monitoring Of Your Baby's Heartbeat!

A baby heartbeat monitor can help put your mind at ease during your pregnancy.

Being a first time mom, I was so excited but also nervous about every little thing. If I didn't feel the baby move for a while, I would start to get real anxious. I eventually rented a baby heartbeat monitor and used it when the baby wasn't being active. You just rub a little cream on your belly and move the device over your stomach until you hear your baby's heartbeat. It helped to keep me from stressing out so much.

The monitor can be used as early as 10-12 weeks into your pregnancy. Learn more about it at BabyBeat.com.

Celebrity Mom Angelina Jolie on Nightline!

Angelina Jolie talks about her advocacy work and expanding her own family in a Nightline interview.

Jolie has her hands full with son Maddox, 4, daughter Zahara, 1, and being pregnant with Brad Pitt's baby, but that doesn't stop her from her humanitarian work. Angelina is passionate about human rights and uses her star power to bring these issues to light. In the interview Jolie told Cynthia McFadden: "I think everybody needs a sense of purpose. I'd been working on films and doing things to try to work on my own career, my own life, so there was an emptiness in me." She also told McFadden that the The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a document she holds dear and that: "Human rights are the law. It's the law, and we haven't been treating it that way. Education, that's article 26 - children's education. Everyone has the right to an education, a free education."

Angelina Jolie revealed in the interview that she would like to have "lots of babies." She stated: "I'd love to adopt just a bunch more kids, have a few, and, just be traveling, be home, or, you know, not working the next few months. I haven't worked much this year, and it's been really nice."

Celebrity Pregnancy Wasn't Always Hot!

MSNBC has a great article that tells about the changing perceptions of motherhood in Hollywood.

The article talks about how everyone is currently obsessed with pregnant celebrities and rumors of who may be pregnant. Their is a real fascination with expecting celebrities and it only seems to fuel their career. Going down the red carpet in sexy maternity clothes seems like the chic thing to do.

The article also tells how pregnancy was once considered death to an actress's career. Movie stars would go to great lengths not to let their pregnancy be known by faking adoption and having abortions.

I think it's great that pregnancy is becoming so celebrated. It really is a magical time in a woman's life and should be acknowledged!
