Scott Stapp, formerly the frontman for Creed, and his wife, Jaclyn, welcomed a baby girl on Thursday.Milan Hayat Stapp was born at 1:00pm in Miami, Florida. The baby girl weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. Scott's rep released a statement about the meaning of the baby's name, "Milán has been chosen from Scott's Cherokee heritage for its definition, which is 'to have the creativity of God.' Hayat is from Jaclyn's Jordanian upbringing and is simply 'to give life.' "
This is the first child for Jaclyn, 26. Stapp, 33, has an 8 year old son named Jagger from a previous relationship. The couple were married in February in Biscayne Bay, Florida. Scott has reportedly written a song for his new baby girl that will appear on his second solo album. Jaclyn was Miss New York in 2004.
