Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, welcomed a baby girl on Saturday in Los Angeles.Francesca Nora Bateman, the first child for Jason and Amanda, was two weeks overdue. At a press event, 2 days before the arrival of their new daughter, Bateman stated "We're due last week, so let's stay on high alert. I'm ready...boil water."
The couple started dating in 1998 and were married in Malibu on July 3, 2001.
Bateman is working hard these days. He will next appear on the romantic comedy Fast Track alongside Amanda Peet and Zach Braff. He also recently finished work on the drama Smokin' Aces with Ben Affleck, the thriller The Kingdom with Jennifer Garner and Jamie Foxx and alongside Dustin Hoffman in the family movie Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
