Softball Star, Jennie Finch, Is Pregnant!

Jennie Finch, Olympic softball gold medalist, and her husband, Casey Daigle, are expecting their first child together in April 2006.

The sporty couple have been married since January 2005. Daigle is an Arizona Diamondbacks minor-league pitcher. Jennie, 25, and Casey, 24, have already announced that the baby will be a boy. Finch commented at a recent press conference that "Casey is thrilled, and from Day 1 (of the marriage) he couldn't wait to be a father."

Will the new baby inherit the sports gene? Casey Daigle told the Chicago Sun-Times "First, we want him to be healthy, and if he's athletic, that's great,'' says Daigle, who stands 6'6" (Finch is 6'). "But we always kid around that if he's a 7'-chess player, that's fine.''

Another Barker Baby Is Born!

A Christmas Eve baby for Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, and his wife, former Playmate Shanna Moakler!

According to People magazine, Travis Barker, 30, and Shanna Moakler, 30, welcomed a baby girl on December 24th at 12:22 pm. They chose the unique baby name, Alabama Louella Barker, for their 7 lb, 1 oz little girl. This is the second child for Shanna and Travis who have a 2 year old boy named Landon. Shanna Moakler also has a 6 year old daughter named Atiana from her previous relationship with Oscar De La Hoya.

The stars of the MTV reality show "Meet the Barkers" have been married since 2004. Shanna also recently modeled for the hip maternity and children's clothing line Childish. Childish is owned by one of Shanna's friends, Skye Hoppus, who is the wife of Travis' fellow Blink 182 bandmate Mark Hoppus.

Visiting Santa Clause!

Sometimes seeing Santa Clause just doesn't work out!

When our son was 5-months old, we took him to see Santa Clause and he loved it and smiled for the camera. When our son was 1-year and 5-months old, we took him to see Santa Clause and he loved it and smiled for the camera. When our son was 2-years and 5-months old (about a week ago), we took him to see Santa Clause (stood in line for over two hours) and he wanted nothing to do with Santa. Therefore, no Santa picture this year. Oh well, he is just at that age when he is a little scared of the big man in red. Or so we thought! Two days later we went to a restaurant that happened to have a Santa Clause. Our son loved him and sat on his lap and smiled at him and told him he wanted "dinosaurs" for Christmas......and I didn't have my camera!

Hollaback Girl Pregnant!

Hip celebrity couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are expecting a baby!

Us Weekly is reporting that Gwen Stefani, 36, is expecting a baby in June of 2006. This will be the first child for Gwen and the second for her husband, Gavin Rossdale, 38. Gavin has a 16 year old daughter named Daisy from a previous relationship. Stefani and Rossdale have been married for three years.

Us Weekly quoted Gavin's father, Douglas, as saying "We are delighted."

Does this mean she will come up with a cool line of "L.A.M.B." maternity clothes? She's sure to be sporting some funky and hip maternity wear!

Baby Thrown From Window Of Burning Apartment!

Infant safely caught after being dropped to a man from a burning third floor New York city apartment.

Tracinda Foxe, 30, and her 1 month old baby were trapped in their third floor apartment that was engulfed in smoke and flames. Foxe went to the window with her infant son, said a prayer and dropped him to the crowd that had gathered below. Tracinda Foxe told the Daily News “I said, ’God, please save my son. I prayed that someone would catch him and save his life.” Luckily the baby was caught by Felix Vazquez, a housing authority supervisor. Vazquez stated "I didn't think, I just reacted." He then proceeded to give the baby mouth to mouth resuscitation.

Tracinda was hysterical when firefighters finally got to her. Both Foxe and the baby were treated and released from the hospital. The whole thing was caught on tape and can be viewed at MSNBC.com.

What a scary situation to be put in. I am so happy that they are both safe.

Pregnant Skydiver Survives Plunge!

The Associated Press is reporting that skydiver Shayna Richardson, newly pregnant, survived a skydiving accident.

Shayna, 21, plunged face-first into concrete after her main parachute failed and her reserve didn't deploy fully during her first solo jump. She hit a parking lot at about 50 mph leading to a totally egg-shelled face, broken pelvis and a broken leg. Shayna Richardson had to spend 16 days in the hospital where she learned from the doctors that she was pregnant. She claims she wouldn't have jumped had she known she was pregnant. Richardson stated "To hit the ground belly first _ that's dangerous. I mean at any stage of pregnancy that's dangerous. That's not something you want to do let alone at 50 miles per hour."

All in all, Shayna Richardson underwent four surgeries including having 15 steel plates put in her face. The fetus appears to be doing fine and is growing well.

Tigger and Pooh Get Makeovers!

The Disney Channel will unveil a new cartoon series called "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" in 2007.

The show is updating the characters that Milne created in 1926. There will be a new kid taking Christopher Robin's place and the look of Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore and gang will change as well. A Disney Channel spokeswoman told USA Today "We got raised eyebrows even in house at first, but the feeling was these timeless characters really needed a breath of fresh air that only the introduction of someone new could provide."

In England, author Milne's homeland, fans are outraged. They see it as a betrayal of Milne's stories.

It does seem rather sad to mess with such a classic children's story. I guess we will just have to wait and see what they make of it. Oh, Bother!

Matt Damon To Become A Father?

The celebrity rumor mill is reporting that Matt Damon and his fiancee, Luciana Barroso, are expecting a baby this summer.

According to “Access Hollywood” Luciana is about three months pregnant. Damon's rep, Jennifer Allen, is neither confirming nor denying this rumor.

Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso met in Miami, where Matt Damon was filming "Stuck on You." The couple locked eyes at a nightclub where Barroso was bartending and they have been together ever since.

If this rumor is true, this would be the first baby for Matt Damon and the second for Luciana who has a 7-year-old daughter, Alexa, from a previous relationship.

This down to earth couple seems like they would make great parents.

Chris Cornell Has A New Baby Boy!

Super hip Audioslave frontman, Chris Cornell, 41, and his wife,Vicky Cornell, 27, welcomed a baby boy on Monday at 7:08 pm.

They chose the name Christopher Nicholas for their 8 lbs. 6 oz. baby boy. According to Cornell's rep, both mother and son are doing very well. This is the second child for Chris Cornell and Vicky who have a 14 month-old daughter named Toni.

In an interview last month, with Launch Radio Networks, Chris said that his growing family has made life as a rock star much easier. "I'm so supported that I'm not having to find a balance between career and family. We have managed to figure out a way to do it and figure out a way to just kind of include it as being who we are as a couple, who we are as a family, and it's all part of one thing."

I loved him when he was with Soundgarden. The album "Superunknown" is a classic.

The Best Nursing Pillow!

The Boppy pillow is a must-have item for any nursing mother.

I received my "Boppy Luxe" as a baby shower gift and wasn't quite sure that I would need it. After trying to strategically place pillows around me while nursing, so my arms didn't fall off, I realized I could give this a try. It makes nursing (and bottle feeding) so much more comfortable. The cover on the "Luxe" pillow is very soft and cuddly next to baby's skin. I also liked that you can buy extra covers to use while one is being washed.

This is one item that I wouldn't have wanted to do without!

Adam Sandler Is Going To Be A Dad!

Adam Sandler, 39, and his wife Jackie, 31, are expecting a new baby!

According to People magazine they are expecting the baby to be born in the spring. This will be the first baby for the couple, who were married in June of 2003. Adam and Jackie Sandler have been together for seven years since meeting on the set of "Big Daddy".

Brad Pitt to Adopt Angelina Jolie's Kids!

According to People magazine, Brad Pitt is in the process of adopting Angelina Jolie's children, Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 11 months.

Pitt's publicist, Cindey Guagenti, stated that "Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children." She also said that he is petitioning to have their names changed to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt.

I wonder if a wedding could be in the near future...

Jennifer Garner gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday evening in Los Angeles.

The couple have reportedly given their daughter the beautiful and unique baby name, Violet. This is the first child for Affleck, 33, and Garner, 34. The pair were married in June of this year.

Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, are expecting their first baby!

Mariska's publicist, Erwin More, said "I can confirm that she is expecting." Mariska also confirmed this on her own web site Mariska.com, saying "Yes, it's true. There's a bun in the oven..."

Mariska Hargitay, 41, is best known for her role as Olivia on "Law & Order:SVU." Another interesting fact about Hargitay is that she is the daughter of Hollywood sex symbol Jayne Mansfield.
