Pregnant Waitress Gets Big Tip!

Amanda Newkirk, a pregnant 19 year old waitress at Ruby Tuesdays, received a $1,000 tip from a customer.

The customer, Erin Dogan, left Amanda a $1,000 tip on a $26.35 lunch bill. She left the tip with a note that read "Keep the change! Have a great day."

The pregnant waitress thought it must be a joke, but the bills were real. When Erin Dogan was asked why she did it by the Times, she replied: "It involved a lot more than good service at a great restaurant. I didn't need it. It helped someone who ... needed it. God put us there together. God answered my questions." Erin also said that she loves to shop and could have easily spent the money at the mall but she decided to put it to better use. "It made me feel phenomenal," Dogan said. "It has changed my life."

Amanda Newkirk plans on using the money to help pay her medical bills for her pregnancy.
